Seeds will germinate in 2 – 4 weeks. Full sun, deep loose compost-rich soil, water adequately for the first 2 years, drought tolerant once established, it is not related to pear trees but the flowers resemble pear blossoms, non-aggressive root system, 6 – 8 m tall
