Morinda citrifolia (Noni fruit)

Evergreen tree, large, glossy leaves, fruit is firm and fleshy, light green, turns soft, yellowish-white with a fetid odour when ripe, flavour is earthy, cheesy, wasabi-like, with a tinge of sourness. Noni roots, stem, bark, leaves, flowers, and fruit are used in traditional medicine, anticancer properties. Fruit juice is rich in nutrients and antioxidants

Mulberry black

Mulberry White

Leaves contain high concentrations of fiber and protein, in many countries, white mulberry leaves are used as a food source for both animals and humans, white mulberry fruits are juicy and sweet-tart with an impressive nutrient content and several health benefits. Despite its name, fruit is typically white, but may ripen to pale red or deep purple, used to make juice, tea, jam or dried snacks.

Passiflora edulis (Pruple Granadilla)

Purple skin, delicious, juicy, very aromatic fruit, seeded pulp-filled centre, striking flowers, vines are fast growing and vigorous, need a sturdy trellis structure
Full sun, medium water needs, deep, loose soil that contains plenty of organic material, apply a generous layer of mulch, add compost or manure every year. Pineapple ‘Smooth Cayenne’

Tamarillo (Tree tomato)

Fast growing, evergreen, fruit tree, self-pollinating, very productive, bears fruit in abundance over several months, fruit can be eaten raw, in fruit salads, cooked as a fruit sauce, used in salsa or made into jam, intense tangy, sweet-tart, delicious flavour, may be compared to kiwifruit, granadilla and guava, high in Vit. A, Vit B6, Vit. C, Vit. E, iron, fibre, antioxidants and low in carbohydrates
Full sun, rich, moist, but well-drained soil, average water, mulch well at all times, light pruning after fruiting is recommended, 1.5 – 2 m high

Tamarindus indica (Tamarind)

Evergreen, long-lived tree,  a landscaping favorite, striking vase shape and thick canopy, pods contain edible, paste-like, sweet-sour fruit pulp, used incurries, sauces, chutneys and  beverages, rich in Vit B, C, potassium, magnesium, antioxidants, many medicinal benefits, suitable for container growth, seeds and leaves are also edible
