Shrubs are the backbone of any garden and can be evergreen or deciduous.  Most of our shrubs are reliable and easy to grow successfully and will provide all year round colour, structure and interest in your garden.  We stock a wide variety of the most adaptable and easy care shrubs:  From elegant flowering specimens to evergreen hedges or fast-growing privacy screens, driveway liners, or background for mixed beds and borders.

Agave geminiflora (Twin flowered agave)

Spectacular, rounded agave with symmetrical, densely packed,  green, needle-like leaves, use in  dry gardens and landscaping, also suitble for growing in a large pot but soil must be very wel-draining.  Full sun, water sparingly, espesially during winter, heat tolerant, resistant to pests and diseases.

A beautiful fleshy succulent rosette, blueish green leaves tipped with a sharp long spine. Use in desert rock gardens, use effective in groupings, makes an ideal pot grown specimen. Full sun, water sparingly.  Easy to grow. This species is quite variable in form and no two plants look exaclty alike.

Syringa vulgaris (French Lilac)

Excellent long-lasting cut flower. Fragrant blooms are produced in massive amounts, completely covering the shrubs. Shrubs may vary in colour from rose, magenta, pinkish-purple, lavender, to purple. Very drought tolerant once established.  Keep soil covered with a thick layer of mulch.  Water sparingly from 1 May to 15 July. Start normal watering thereafter. This will encourage more blooms. Tough and very easy to grow, high resistance to pests and diseases. Prune bush immediately after blooming to promote flowering the next year.
